Dr. Cheryl Winston has been a teacher in the Mobile County Public School System since 1997.  She has gained experience on the elementary and middle school levels.  Dr. Winston has taught in various parts of the district working with a diverse group of students including ESL, migrant, and inner-city students.  She has also taught the core subjects Reading/English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies in grades one, three, four, five and six.   Dr. Winston received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Alabama in December of 1994.  Additionally, she earned a M.Ed. degree in Elementary Education from Alabama State University in May of 1997.  Consequently, Dr. Winston earned her Ed. D. in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in June of 2016. Dr. Winston became a member of the Elsie Collier Elementary faculty in August of 2016.
